Don Gill

Don Gill remembers his 35 year career with the Forest Service and his early years working as a ranger in the Pemberton District. He served as a municipal councillor, was a charter member of the Lion’s Club and was president of the Pemberton Legion the year the hall was built. He also coached many sports in Pemberton.

Stu McNolty

George Henry introduces Stu McNolty who worked in the local forests for many years. Stu remembers some funny stories about life in the woods with the crew.

George Henry – The Soo Building

George Henry welcomes reunion attendees to the storytelling part of the program on August 12th. The stories were filmed in the Soo Building in front of an audience. George, the museum president, gives thanks to the Talbot family for their donation of the timbers from which the Soo Buildling was built.

BCFS 100th Tree Planting

This is an edited version of the tree planting ceremony at the Pemberton Museum, August 12th, 2012. The tree was planted to celebrate 100 years of BC Forest Service. Mike O’Neill, retired resident Forester, spoke at the ceremony. George Henry and Florence Bilenduke, Pemberton Museum trustees, planted a white pine in the park in front of the museum.
