Lisa Perrault

This is an edited version of the speech given by Lisa Perrault at the BCFS 100th banquet at the Pemberton Museum, August 11th, 2012. Lisa began her career in the forest service after a summer working with the 1975 Devine Fire Suppression crew. The crew was made up of young women from the lower mainland. She recalls her early years and talks about her present work educating young people about B.C. Forests.

This is the full version of a story told by Lex Ross at the BCFS 100th reunion at the Pemberton Museum, Aug 11th, 2012. Lex recounts a close experience with an environmental protester while working in the local forests.

Jay Drenka

This is an edited version of the presentation made by Jay Drenka at the BCFS 100th banquet. He spoke about his personal history working in the logging industry and how he ended up living and working in Pemberton. He entertained attendee’s with his stories. George Henry concludes with a list of local loggers who are gone but not forgotten.

Jack Carradice

This an edited version of the speech given by Jack Carradice, who was Pemberton’s 1st Forest Ranger. He talks about his early days in Pemberton from the late fifties to the early sixties. He concludes with his thoughts on the last 100 years, and raised a glass to the next 100.

Mayor Jordan Sturdy

This is an edited version of Mayor Jordan Sturdy’s greeting to attendee’s of the BC Forest Service 100th anniversary reunion hosted by the Pemberton Museum on August 11th, 2012. Jordan speaks about the past, present and future of forests in Pemberton.
