This is a taxidermic otter that has been mounted on a piece of wood with leaves decorating it. It is perched on the wood with one paw raised and it’s tail curved around it. . The taxidermied animals were picked up from the Pemberton Secondary School and we later found out that the specimens were from the Coast Outdoor Mountain School which closed in 1995. These animals were originally from the Pemberton area and were taken to Squamish after the Outdoor School closed. Kirby Young, who used to teach in Pemberton, recognized them and organized their return.
