Spats

Description:
These spats belonged to Mrs. Geoffrey Downton who was the mother of Marjory Gimse. They are made of taupe coloured felt and have 10 buttons and button holes up on side. There is a buckle and strap to go under the foot The strap is leather lined as is the heel. There is a piece of leather sewn to the top seam of one spat with gold lettering. Made for” Hudson Bay Company” by Church and Company, Northampton, England. There is a white cleaning tag on each spat held on by a staple with the #4285. A #3is stamped into the felt.
