honing rod

Description:
A metal honing rod with a stag antler handle that was used by Teresa Summerskill and it was donated by Laura Burden. On the right side of the rod reads “Corged Steel – Sheffield Inc.” Although, the origins of where and who manufactured the honing rod is unknown. A honing rod is typically used for sharpening kitchen knives. For donor biography see description for 021.10.01.
