a) A GE mobile F96 electric steam Iron. b) The box for the iron. Pale beige and green in colouring. Written on the front and the sides are the GE logo and “PORTABLE STEAM IRON MODLE F96”. On the top it reads “Weighs only 1 3/4 pounds, Collapses for travel, Fully Automatic”. On the back it has the GE logo and reads “Portable STEAM IRON MODEL F96”, “120 VOLTS – AC-DC – 650 WATTS”; “Made In Canada”; “CANADIAN GENERAL ELETRIC COMPANY LIMITED””. On the bottom it reads “CONTINENTAL CAN COMPANY OF CANADA LTD. TORONTO, CANADA; CERTIFICATE OF BOX MAKER; THIS BOX CONFORMS TO ALL CONSTRUCTION REQUIREMENTS OF CANADIAN FREIGHT CLASSIFICATION; RESISTANCE (BURSTING TEST) 175 POUNDS PER SQ. INCH; DIMENSION LIMIT 60 INCHES; GROSS WT. LIMIT 40 POUNDS”. c) The water bulb for the iron. d) The instruction book for the iron. The items belong to Allen McEwan’s grandmother and grandfather, Bertha (nee. Collins) and Morgan Miller. Jean McEwan Allen’s mother put the donation box together.
