This is a framed Diploma of Honour issued to the Ronayne Brothers in 1934 from the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair. It reads “In testimony of their name having been inscribed upon the roll of Honour established under authority of the Board of Directors to commemorate the Centenary of the Incorporation of the City of Toronto, containing the names of this whose exhibits at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair of 1934 reached the High Standard of Excellence required to Merit inscription on this Roll of Honour”. Signed by the Mayor of Toronto and the President, Vice President and Manager of the Royal Agricultural Fair. [Condition is fair. Diploma is framed without glass. Keep in archive room]. This is from a collection of agricultural awards, ribbons and trophies received from Rosemary Walden that belonged to her uncle Edmond Oswald Ronayne, her father’s first cousin.
