Dresden Plate Baby Quilt

Image:
Description:
A white and yellow Dresden plate baby quilt made around the 1930s. Nancy Paulley gave this quilt to Rita Solkin after she found it in her mother’s attic in Estevan, Saskatchewan. Nancy thought a friend of her mother’s stored it away years ago. Rita Solkin got it when they down sized. The blanket has twelve Dresden plates on it with many different types of fabric. It’s a good example of traditional quilting. This quilt is possibly made by people from the Metis.
