Camisole (2)

Image:
Description:
This camisole is made of white embroidered cotton or linen with ribbon beading along the top. There is a narrow elastic to gather the waist although this has lost its stretch. It was owned by Mrs. Geoffrey Downton. The item is in fair condition. There is a tear in the centre of the cutout detail at the top of the article. There is a stain on the bottom right corner along the hem which looks like rust. Both straps are missing. You can see where they would have been attached by looking at the top hem of the garment on the inside.
