Donations: Artifact, Archival Documents & Photos

At the Pemberton Museum, our purpose is to collect, preserve, and display artifacts, archival documents, and photos that vividly illustrate the human history of Pemberton and its surrounding district.

We focus on three core themes—Indigenous self-sufficiency before contact, the transformative influx of gold seekers in the mid-1800s, and the evolving lives of settlers and later residents before and after the arrival of the railway.

Our collecting district spans the areas drained by waters entering the north end of Harrison Lake, those entering Anderson Lake, and throughout the Pemberton Valley. We carefully choose artifacts, archival documents, and photographs directly linked to these areas.

While we’re always grateful for donations that enrich our collection of artifacts, archival documents, and photos, we must be mindful of our capacity to find appropriate space for each contribution. This ensures we maintain responsible stewardship of our resources and honour our mission to safeguard the district’s unique heritage for future generations.
