Walter’s Bullets

Walter’s Bullet was invented by Jack Water, a forestry professor at the University of British Columbia. It was used for reforestation along the Hurley Road during the 1970s and 1980s. A seedling was placed inside the pointed container and dropped from an aircraft. When it struck the ground, the bullet created a hole and planted the seedling. The rectangular container is made of four interlocking pieces of orange plastic.
