Smudge Pot

Description:
This smudge pot was used by Perkins Bros. Logging to ignite back burns during forest fires. Shaped like a watering can, it has a wick that extends slightly from the spout and runs down into the container. Gasoline was poured into the can and the wick was lit to start controlled fires.
