Box of Nurses Uniform Buttons

A box of buttons from Sally Purden’s uniform. Nurses had to remove there buttons before washing. There are three different kinds of buttons; four large flat mother of pearl or abalone buttons with a metal dot in the center, five large flat mother of pearl or abalone buttons, and eleven small rounded white glass buttons. There are also in the box, eleven small bobby pins, three safety pins, and a sowing needle. The buttons are housed in a silver box covered in tiny white lettering that reads “EATONS of CANADA” and written in the bottom right corner in navy blue letters is “EATON’S”.
