Two red labels for “CERTIGRADE Red Cedar SHINGLES Red Label”. The labels read “NAILS use only rust resistant nails in the laying of each shingle. Only Certigrade Red Cedar Shingles. Owners should DEMAND and INSIST on the use of rust proof nails. Ask the retail lumberman for literature on over-roofer or remodeling with red Cedar Shingles & Handsplit SHAKE BUREAU, 5510 WHITE BLDG, SEATTLE, WASH 98101, OR 1477 WEST PENDER ST. VANCOUVER, B.C.”; “TRADE MARK CERTIGRADE REGISTERED IN US PATENT OFFICE RED CEDAR SHINGLES RED LABEL”; “THIS LABEL IS TO DESIGNATE A MIXED-GRAIN SHINGLE WHICH MEETS ALL QUALITY REQUIREMENTS OF RED LABEL GRADE SHINGLES AS SHOWN IN CURRENT GRADING AND PACKING RULES”; “RED CEDAR SHINGLE & HANDSPLIT SHAKE BUREAU” On the back are instructions. there is a red stain on the top proper right corner of b) and there is a black stain on the proper left corner of a). The items were found on the Perkins brothers lot.
