Image:
Description:
A rusted Lincoln manual gear lube pump that was originally yellow in colour and it was Found in Collection next to the Pelton Wheel. It was used for cars/trucks for transmissions, manual gear boxes, differentials, transfers and transaxles. This was mainly for protecting internal gear systems from wear and heat damage. On the side of the pump handle reads “Lincoln”. The company, Lincoln Industrial Corporation, was first found in 1910 by Frank Barks and Edward Barstow during The Age of The Automobile era. Originally called the Steel Roof Truss Company, it also had a couple of other names changed in the process, such as Barks and Barstow Manufacturing Company in 1912 and Lincoln Steel and Forge Company in 1916 until it finally settled with the current brand name, Lincoln Industrial Corporation. The company has been bought and sold several times after 1953, and their products still remain under the Lincoln brand in present times, aside from other parental companies willing to purchase Lincoln Industrial Corporation in recent years.
