This item possibly a pit lamp is a cylinder expanded to a light bulb on top. It has a spout which has a release control on it with a handle. It has a connector which can fasten it to a hat or a belt. It is engraved “Patented-Oct. 10 1899, Dec 12, 1899, Nov. 27,1900 ” and “Columbia Model C’ Automatic” and “Shine Watt, MFG. Co, Chicago, U.S. A.” This item is slightly worn.
