oyster knife

A metal oyster knife (also referred as a clam shucker) with a wooden handle that was used by Teresa Summerskill and it was donated by Laura Burden. Materials are steel, aluminum and wood. On the left side of the blade reads “Richard”, in which inscribes the brand name that manufactured the knife. Although, the company’s history is rather unknown. Or perhaps “Richard” was the owner of the knife and this name was engraved on the knife. For donor biography see description for 021.10.01.
