Joe's brother in law Ivan Burger gave everybody a professional haircut before he went back to Vancouver. Brother Dan is in the chair. Pemberton had just been "electrified" - in the back of the truck is a washing machine Joe bought for $10.00. As Joe reports - it worked "real good".

Locomotive #51. Bears the caption "P.G.E.R. No. 51 at the point of passenger No. 2 at Quesnel May 20th 1946. Note the interurban equipment baggage, mail and coaches plus one of the North Vancouver trailer cars, second from last car, which had been converted to a dining car. On the pilot of No. 51 can be seen the ..." Written in ink on the face of photo "51". Item appears to be part of a publication. Joe notes on the back "No 51 is said to be the engine on first train to enter Pemberton in 1914".
