Description:

Rail tracks running beside a small shack in the bush. Hand written in ink on photo "Just a tumbledown shack on an old railroad track" with musical notes. Joe notes on the back "I took this picture in 1987 at the Green River Crossing. This little cabin was a powder shack in the construction days. The relic was removed many years later while cleaning up a train wreck at this highway crossing. Shack was about 30 yds north of the crossing".

Jan writes on the back of the photo "Original P.G.E. R.R. Bridge (wooden railings) across the Lillooet River 1969 (maybe 68) I believe it was replaced just after as we we(sic) here then)" [processors comment "personally I believe this to be the old trestle bridge that spanned the Lillooet River and was destroyed when it collapsed under a loaded logging truck (see photos - Henry, George and Starks Collections)].
