Description:

A dark green-gray shoe repair kit a) that was obtained from a garbage sale of George Walker and it was donated by Lori Ternes. The wooden shoe box has "50B" taped on the bottom left corner on the front. The inside on the top has a paper chart that reads "Wave Meters, Crystal Calibrated:- Major spares, sets - Comprising:-" that has one chart on the left side showing a division of various formulas for repairing shoes, otherwise known as a "Nomenclature" titled on the top. The right side shows a list of tools that is titled "Replacement For". On the black painted buckles has the brand name "Corbin - Made In U.S.A" inscribed. The inside and somewhat on the outside is rather dusty/dirty. b) is a cobbler's hammer with two nails at the top and a small hole on the bottom. c) is a shoe carving knife that has a yellow and green painted handle. d) is a handled stabbing awl and e) is a scratch awl with a curved wooden handle that is painted black with a red circle on the top. f) are carpenter pincers that have uneven pincer tips and on the handle bars (front and back side) has "200" carved in with a small logo at the bottom. The right side of the pincer tips has "299" written. All of g), h), and i) are cast iron shoe forms in various sizes, with written numbers of "2", "3", and "4" shown on the left/right with one intentional puncture hole at the top for each shoe form. Meanwhile, j) is a cast iron shoe form stand that has "5" on both sides and also has an intentional puncture hole. The bottom has two curved holes on either side. k) is a small wrench that has "Taiwan" carved on the back and has a hole, in which possibly goes with the metal circular disc of l). The disc has various holes, one noticeably a larger hole in the center. The writing of "TL-10-F-11-F" is carved on the top and bottom. m) is a red-brown thick cardboard half piece of a shoe form that could have been used for repairing the soles in shoes. Two small holes are on the top and bottom. n) has 174 twist screws in a paper bag.
