upholstery hammer (tack)
Description:
A metal upholstery hammer with a semi-cream in color painted wooden handle that was used by Teresa Summerskill and it was donated by Laura Burden. Judging from the way the hammer was made by the wood carving/metal engraving, this more likely could have been hand made, as there is also no visible brand name. Description:
An antique horse harness donated by Grace Collins and it belonged to her mother, Eve Gordon. The harness is typical of the type of harness that would be used with the carriage. The harness has four pieces that would be used to attach the horse to the wagon. a) Bit, Bit strap, Noseband, Blind, Head Crown and Traces. b) Belly band and Connectors. c) Collar and back band. d) Connecting strap (1'' width). e) Connecting strap (.5'' width).

This is an oval, brown ,wooden block, with metal pulleys encased in the wood and a small wooden hook at the top. The wood is cracked, old, and unfinished. The metal pulleys and hook are in good condition. The whole block is covered with silt.
