Description:

A metal brace bit hand drill with a wooden cap and handle part that was used by Teresa Summerskill and it was donated by Laura Burden. On the top of the metal part above the handle in the middle has the name "Victor" on one side and "No 975-10W" on the other. Although, the possible brand name of "Victor" does not have much information with the company's history, although it possibly could have been manufactured from a similar company with the same name that made phonographs and phonograph records. A set of records in an album. The Album contains only one record but has room for four. The front cover of the album is light brown and the siding of it is black. The front cover reads "Ellington Special columbia album set a45". The inside of the front cover has a description of the songs and artists listed in this album. On the inside of the back cover is hand writting and it reads "Joyce Yorbing 3064 Kitcheurs St Vancouver B.C.". The record has a blue center and it reads "BLUEBIRD". We believe this item has a connection to 015.15.02.

a) This is a large wooden grammophone that originally belonged to George Walker. It has a lifting lid and two cupboard compartments in the front, one for a speaker and one for holding records, and one on the right side for the winding handle. The record player is beneath the top lid and still spins though it quickly slows down. b) this is a small red record with the maker's mark Columbia Records, "Playtime - Noah's Ark - Part 1" c) this is a black record with the maker's mark RCA Victor, "Jolly Lumberjack Polka" d) this is a black record with the maker's mark RCA Victor, His Master's Voice Victor, "Creole Love Call", Duke Wellington and his Orchestra e) this is a black record with the maker's mark Quality Records, "Lily of Lagua", Eddie "Piano" Miller

Let's Square Dance! - Album No. 5 record box

Description:

A Let's Square Dance! - Album No. 5 record box with six 45 rpm records donated by Clara Ronayne. The box a) is cream in colour and has a large pink square in the center and a smaller square as a RCA Victor logo design, located on the top right. Inside the large pink square on the top reads "Let's Square Dance! - A "How-to-Do-It" Series - Album No. 5" and below has the names titled "RCA Victor - Square Dance Orchestra". There are also people dancing in cartoon form on the front of the box, particularly both women and men. Inside the box with records e), f), g), and f), were found in a paper bag (hole in the middle) titled "RCA Victor" and on the left describing the records and artists being high quality. b) record is titled "Steel Drivin' Man" by John Henry and it was trade marketed by Top Caller, Green Incorportated. The record c) is titled "Wild Over You" by Frank Messina and the Mavericks and it was manufactured by Mac Gregor Records, Hollywood, United States. Both d) and e) are made by RCA Victor Company, LTD., Montreal (in which those fully go with the box). Although, they have different song titles, with e) having an additional third. f) and g) are also the same types made by Windsor Records, though f) song title is "The Ladies" and g) "Hot Time In The Old Town Tonight." Colours for the record titles are pink, blue, red/silver, and gray.

Maintenance binding cases

Description:

Two binding cases of maintenance records associated with 1978 grapple yarder "78A" owned by Valleau logging. The records span 1978 to 1991 and illustrate the meticulous detail Lawrence Valleau, and then his son David (Davey) provided in service records for equipment used in logging operations. Also see Archive accession number 011.18 for a 1993 video of machine working at Ryan Creek. See accession # 014.26.01 for history of Valleau logging.
