Detonator
Description:
This a detonator used to create an electrical charge which was subsequently used to set off explosives. This piece of equipment is mostly wood except for the shaft and the generator inside. It was used to set off explosives at a safe distance both in mining, farming and logging. This item appears in extremely good condition showing only little signs of wear.

Description:
A model DC-20a 20lb. stainless steel fire extinguisher, from "General" manufacturers, with a red label. It is for class B&C fires: Gasoline, Oil, Grease, Electrical equipment. It has a grey handle and black hose attached to a brass handle. The item was found on the Perkins brothers lot.

Pelton Wheel
Description:
Pelton wheel manufactured in the 1920's and possibly used around Birken B.C. at the school. Louis Potvin used the pelton wheel to power his home, office and shop since 1962. The unit produced 12,000 watts when connected to a generator.

The Pemberton Museum is currently CLOSED for the winter and will reopen to the public in the spring of 2025.
Meetings
The PDMAS Society meets on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at the Museum.
Our 2024 AGM will be held July 10 at 7pm.
