hoof trimmer
Description:
A hoof trimmer with a wooden handle and a metal blade that was used by Teresa Summerskill and it was donated by Laura Burden. On the left side of the handle has writing engraved of "Hoof Trimmer No. 171" and a possible written logo design beside the other name, although it is rather difficult to indicate what it is and what it says. On the bottom of the blade on the right reads "Erik Frost - Mora Sweden". The company Ecko Forge was first found in 1889 by Edward Katzinger, in which the "Ecko" name was shortened to the actual company name of the Edward Katzinger Company. However, Ecko Forge was demolished from its independence in September 1965 and became a division of another large corporation, which was the American Home Products. Description:
An antique horse harness donated by Grace Collins and it belonged to her mother, Eve Gordon. The harness is typical of the type of harness that would be used with the carriage. The harness has four pieces that would be used to attach the horse to the wagon. a) Bit, Bit strap, Noseband, Blind, Head Crown and Traces. b) Belly band and Connectors. c) Collar and back band. d) Connecting strap (1'' width). e) Connecting strap (.5'' width).

Given seventeen years ago, this cinch was used regularly by the Peters family of Samahquam Reserve. They used dug-out canoes between their reserve and Port Douglas through periods of low water and they packed supplies north.

The Pemberton Museum will be open June 3rd to October 26th,
Tuesday to Saturday from 10am to 5pm.
Meetings
The PDMAS Society meets on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at the Museum.
Our 2024 AGM will be held July 10 at 7pm.
