Description:

This hammered metal candle holder has a swinging receptacle for a candle, allowing it to hang or sit flat. It is sound. Until 1948 it belonged to the late Dean Brock of U.B.C. and Mrs. Brock. After a plane crash which resulted in the deaths of the Brocks, the family gave the candle holder to Myrtle Philip. She had gone to the scene of the crash to give first aid.
