Small Barrel
Description:
This is a small barrel made of rounded planks, strapped together. It has a diameter of 32 cm. and a height of 35 cm. Condition: the wood is worn, the strappings are rusted. [Update 2013]: The barrel has come apart.

Stirrup
Description:
This stirrup is part metal (the bar) and reinforced wood. It is used to hold the foot of a horseback rider. Condition: it is in good condition.

T- Auger
Description:
These augers are long rods made of metal. The long shaft is attached to a T-handle and there is a drill bit at the other end. The auger is turned by hand to bore holes on logs and or planks. These two augers were received by the museum with the Sam Jim house.

spinning whorl, Lil'wat
Description:
Indigenous women say that this device was used to wind goats hair. It is a round disk on a pointed wooden stick broken at one end. Condition- good but worn. See pp. 3 & 5 of Indian Spinning, Knitting, Basketry-Elizabeth Hawkins.
