"No 1" is embossed on one side of the jack. The other reads "A.O. Norton Ltd., Coticook Canada." It has remenants of red paint.

Railway wheels
Description:
These two railway wheels were given to Ken by George Walker who got them from Bill Spetch. Bill believed they were from the Port Pemberton site where a tramway was used to ease the loading and unloading of freight during seasonal water fluctuations. This claim remains unsubstantiated other than via this donation. The maker's mark reads, "Peteler Car Co. Minneapolis Minn. 1127". From Research: Peteler Portable Railway Peteler Portable Railway Manufacturing Co. Colonel Peteler invented and marketed the first dump car used for railroad construction. Duluth & Iron Range #8022 was built by the little-known Peteler Car Company of Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1912. The D&IR's purpose was to haul iron ore, and lots of it. #8022 was used to ship potatoes from the Iron Range area to market. Francis Peteler invented the first rail-mounted dump car, as well as the first portable railway system. Company declared bankruptcy in 1914, at this point it was bought out at changed names.

rock hammer
Description:
The rock hammer (ab) was donated by Ken Greenway from 1916 found by Ken at Owl Creek at Owl Mountain Mines. The galena (c) came from Blow Down creek [Stein Valley], the azurite rock with copper showings (d) came from Owl creek and the azurite with silver (e) came from the Hurley bowl along the Duffey.

The Pemberton Museum is currently CLOSED for the winter and will reopen to the public in the spring of 2025.
Meetings
The PDMAS Society meets on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at the Museum.
Our 2024 AGM will be held July 10 at 7pm.
