Description:
Item is a set of 14 BCFS patches. 13 are fabric, to be stitched or glued to clothes. One is plastic with a pin fastener on the back. a) "Fire Control" cloth badge, navy with white stitch letters and trim. b) "Recreation" cloth badge, brown with white letters and trim. c) same as "a" d) "British Columbia Forest Service" with emblem. Brown with white stitch letters and trim. e) "Revenue Inspector" navy with white letters and trim. f) same as "e". g) "Forests and Lands" brown with white letters and trim. h) same as "g". i) "BC Forest Service" with BC, deer, and tree. Dark green with white letters, colorful emblem. j) "Fire Control Forest Service British Columbia"- green letters on white background. Picture of a tree in the middle. Green trim. k) same as "j" l) no letters, green trim, beige background, stitch of bc in green with black tree beside. m) "Fire Warden BC Forest Service" black letters and trim on green background. Tree in middle. Plastic with pin. Shaped like a sheriffs badge. Maker's mark visible "Superior Stamp Vancouver BC". n) "Forest Service British Columbia" green rim, yellow outline, yellow letters. Similar emblem inside as "j" and "k" and have an oval shape.

Biltmore Stick
Description:
Wood and gold 25 inch Biltmore stick. Maker's mark reads: "25INCH REACH BILTMORE ARISTO (B.C.F.S) PATTERN". The stick folds up in the middle and then the two sides fold down. The wood is light coloured, and the ink is black, and perfectly still intact. Gold hinges and caps on either end.

Diameter Tape
Description:
Silver measuring tape. Maker's mark is visible on the outer silver as well as it is written at the beginning of the tape inside: "The Lufkin Rule Co. Saginaw, Mich, USA". The tape inside is black with silver lettering and measurements. There is a silver hook which fastens inside a hole to secure the tape once it has been rolled up. There is a silver reel that pops out of the centre of the body, to reel in the tape once it has been unrolled. Carved into the reel is "25 FT". The reel snaps into position once it is done being used.

Description:
Level with case, Maker's mark visible: "Leopold Abney Level U.S. Patent 2.137.776. Leopold & Stevens Instruments, Inc. Portland, Oregon". Case is brown leather and, makers mark visible at the top "Leopold". Level has a green base, dial is metal. Numbers and markings on the dial are all still perfectly visible. String is attached but is dirty.

Description:
Rules for Grading of Pine, Spruce, Cedar, Larch, Fir, and Hemlock. By the Mountain Lumber Manufacturers Association. October 1st 1920 edition. Written in Nelson BC. Book is bound in red leather cover. Cover is still in very good condition but has detached from inner pages. Inner pages are bound together by staples, and then have been glued to the leather cover which has detached.

Sling Psychrometer
Description:
Weksler sling Psychrometer. Maker's mark "Weksler" still visible. Two staggered thermometers mounted on a painted white metal plate attached by a hinge to a silver metal rod that swings the thermometers back and forth. One of the thermometers has a piece of white cloth at the bottom called a wick which is dipped in water "wet bulb thermometer" and "dry bulb thermometer". Device is swung around, cooling/drying the wet bulb thermometer. Dry air results in lower temperature. Leather case is a browny/orange colour with yellowish beige stitching and a painted gold makers mark.

Sling psychrometer. A) is a silver board in which the thermometers are inserted into before the psychrometer is used. B) and C) are the thermometers, which are each being stored in clear blue tubes. The thermometers are WEKSLER, makers mark is visible if you remove them from the tubes. The silver mount is "FRIEZ", makers mark visible.

SUUNTO Clinometer
Description:
SUUNTO compass for measuring height, clinometers, combined height and clinometer, slopes, vertical angles. Object is silver metal with a green cover where the compass is located. White string attached. Maker's mark is still visible on the front of the object: "SUUNTO". There is a hole and the bottom of the object with a glass cover, a little smaller than a dime. There is a chart on the back of the object, on a darker silver plate: reads: 360 Cosine Decimals with a series of numbers. Someone has scratched "M & B" into the side of the object. The serial number of the object is visible on the back: 315367, and it is model PM 5/360 PC which is visible on the compass dial in the centre. Materials are metal, glass, plastic, textile string.
