Summer Job Opportunities for Students

We are looking for 2 enthusiastic, driven, fun loving students to join our team for the summer season!

Thanks to unprecedented funding for employers to create skill building opportunities for students, the museum received funding for two positions through the Young Canada Works in Heritage program for full-time students between 16-30 yrs.

These are Young Canada Works positions and applicants must be Canadian citizens, 16-30 years of age, and returning to full-time school in the fall.

Resumes will be accepted until Friday, June 10^th2022 at 4:00 pm. We thank all applicants for their interest; however, only individuals short-listed for interviews will be contacted.

The Pemberton Museum is currently CLOSED but will be open on June 6, 2023

Meetings

The PDMAS Society meets on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at the Museum.

Become a Member

Museum memberships ensure the long term sustainability of the museum society and the history it preserves.

Membership is $20 for an individual and $25 for a family.

Your membership ensures you will receive regular news from the museum regarding upcoming events and programs and special projects. To become a member fill out the form and mail to us. We accept payment by cheque or e-transfer.

Port Pemberton was founded as a stopping point on the historic Harrison-Lillooet gold rush trail over 160 years ago.

30,000 gold-rushers passed through this region from 1858 to 1865 and Port Pemberton was an important stopping point for travelers making their way to Lillooet and the gold-fields beyond!
