Legion & Remembrance Day Memories
We reviewed a scrapbook donated to the museum that belonged to the late Elsie Miller. We discovered a write up by Elsie about the earliest days of the Pemberton Area Royal Canadian Legion from 1946 to 1956. There was another write up she did about her memories of the RCAF Women’s Division where she served from 1944-1946.
Elsie's family donated her "Legion Suit" which she wore proudly every November 11th.
We are open Tuesdays to Saturdays 10am to 5pm from June to October.

We are located in the downtown area of Pemberton at 7455 Prospect St.

Tuesdays to Saturdays from 10am to 5pm.
Meetings
The PDMAS Society meets on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at the Museum.

Museum memberships ensure the long term sustainability of the museum society and the history it preserves.
Membership is $20 for an individual and $25 for a family.
Your membership ensures you will receive regular news from the museum regarding upcoming events and programs and special projects. To become a member fill out the FORM and mail to us. We accept payment by cheque or e-transfer.

Port Pemberton was founded as a stopping point on the historic Harrison-Lillooet gold rush trail over 160 years ago.
30,000 gold-rushers passed through this region from 1858 to 1865 and Port Pemberton was an important stopping point for travelers making their way to Lillooet and the gold-fields beyond!
