Trap Cabin

Description:

Located on the Fulton Lands upstream from the trestle. This cabin belonged to Bob Taylor and is believed to have been used for trapping but they also used to plant potatoes and turnips there in the summer. The cabin has been vandalized, at some point someone removed several of the roofing planks.

Description:

This photo was taken during the Spanish Civil War where he fought with the Mackenzie_Papineau Brigade as a sniper and lost his hand. Frank Tierney's hand is an artifact at this museum, see object register #982.1.1. Frank was a member of a large Belfast family who, in turn, have an even larger family today, some still in Northern Ireland as well as England and Australia.
