This item is a small leather strap with holes, as if for a belt. It is attached to a metal ring which in turn is attached to a hook. Condition: the strap is broken and the two rusted parts are in bad shape.

Wooden Block

Wooden Block

Description:

A small block consisting of a rusted steel pulley, with a groove for the rope, fastened in worn and bleached wooden frame by pins on which it once revolved. The block is fastened by pins to a heavy steel hook. Condition: Much rusted and worn. Rust stains mark both sides of the case. Such blocks were used for light work; for example in a hay mow or in raising a butchered animal. Later, this must have been used in the woods. Ivan Knowles found it when he was clearing his land above Battle Creek.

Load Binder. Device is composed of a long bar with a hinged Y. Each end of the Y has chain and hook. It was used to cinch down large loads. Object is believed to be from Devine B.C. from the 1940's.

Description:

Curved hook made of iron. Attached (free) two piece eye iron. It is rusted but still in good condition. Inscription on each part of the eye reads "8" Jack McGrade found it on his lot in Pemberton Village. A farmer or logger may have used it.

Candle holder. Used for holding a candle, could be used to orient candle several different ways. Metal spike, curled to form a loop at other end. Circular band for holding candle attached to one side and hook on opposite side. String is attached to loop and has metal aglets on ends.
