Description:

This is a grey baseball hat that reads "Phil's Drive In" and "Pemberton, B.C.". It belonged to Jerry Mohs of Pemberton. Eleanor, his sister, donated the item to the museum at his memorial in June 2016. "Phil's Drive In" was a local restaurant in the 1970s.

Taxidermied Cougar

Taxidermied Cougar

Description:

This is a taxidermic/stuffed cougar. It's fur has been bleached from the sun after being set by a window by previous owners. There is a kink near the end of it's tail and it is laying down with it's front paws extended out and it's hind legs to the side. The taxidermied animals were picked up from the Pemberton Secondary School and we later found out that the specimens were from the Coast Outdoor Mountain School which closed in 1995. These animals were originally from the Pemberton area and were taken to Squamish after the Outdoor School closed. Kirby Young, who used to teach in Pemberton, recognized them and organized their return.

Description:

This is a taxidermic otter that has been mounted on a piece of wood with leaves decorating it. It is perched on the wood with one paw raised and it's tail curved around it. . The taxidermied animals were picked up from the Pemberton Secondary School and we later found out that the specimens were from the Coast Outdoor Mountain School which closed in 1995. These animals were originally from the Pemberton area and were taken to Squamish after the Outdoor School closed. A pin Canada Day 1984. The pin has yellow with red and blue writing. On the front it displays a potato holding a hard hat and a chainsaw. The potato is also boating down a river with mountains in the background. On the pin it reads "10th Anniversary 1984 Pemberton, Mt.Currie CANADA WEEK Birken, D'Arcy".
