MG 35 - Clipping FilesShare
The museum will be adding content to this page in 2016. The museum recently submitted a grant to Library & Archives Canada for the Documentary Heritage Communities Program. The project called ‘Musing the News” would see the museum describe and digitize over 10 boxes of news clippings from the 1940s-2000s. Included is a complete collection of Pemberton Valley News.
Library and Archives Canada (LAC) is investing $7,500,000 over five years to implement the Documentary Heritage Communities Program (DHCP) to ensure Canada's continuing memory is documented and accessible to current and future generations by adopting a more collaborative approach with local documentary heritage communities. The program will be delivered in the form of contributions, which are based on eligibility criteria. The contributions will support the development of Canada's local archival and library communities by increasing their capacity to preserve, provide access to and promote documentary heritage and will provide opportunities for local documentary heritage communities to evolve and remain sustainable and strategic.
Thanks to the Pemberton and District Public Library and the Village of Pemberton for their letters of support.
