Tea & Tales 2019 - The Lineup

This summer the Museum presents our annual Tea & Tales. Every Tuesday, from July 9th to August 20th, we have invited speakers to come and talk about art. The theme this year is “Local Art Past & Present” and will feature local presenters from Birken, Mount Currie, Pemberton, and Squamish. This year's line-up includes:

July 9th: “My Carving Journey” with Jonathan Joe, “Bring Back Cedar Root Weaving” with Master Weaver Antolaya7 Vera Edmonds, and “Regalia Making – Telling My Story” with Mamaya7 Lois Joseph.

July 16th: “Art-Just Do It!” with Wim Tewinkle

July 23rd: “Modern Art Discovers Pemberton (and Sea to Sky) – Emily Carr & Co.” with Eric Andersen

July 30th: “Lil’wat Nation Rock Paintings” with Yaqalatqa7 Johnny Jones

August 6th: “The Need to Create” with Levi Nelson

August 13th: “Chevrolets and Tapioca: Stories and Poems” with Linda K. Thompson

August 20th: “Historic Artists in Pemberton – Rene Ronayne, Pat Wilson, Marjory Gimse” with the Museum staff

Come by every Tuesday from 2-4pm for baked goods, tea, and experience local art.
