A "sourdough" on the Douglas Trail, 1858

The Douglas Trail was constructed in the fall of 1858. This was the first public works project on the mainland. It was initiated by Governor Douglas to ensure food and freight could be transported to the goldfields inland.

Country Fair and Lamb & Salmon BBQ

Yesterday, Saturday, September 10, we hosted the Country Fair and the Lamb and Salmon BBQ. Both events where an enormous success and we would like to take a moment to thank all of our wonderful volunteers who made this event possible. To all the people who helped with the fair and gate, concession, bakers, and the organizers for BBQ.
