A "sourdough" on the Douglas Trail, 1858

The Douglas Trail was constructed in the fall of 1858. This was the first public works project on the mainland. It was initiated by Governor Douglas to ensure food and freight could be transported to the goldfields inland.

Event Rescheduled

The Salmon and Lamb BBQ Commitee has rescheduled the event to Saturday October 16th.  We originally scheduled this event for the evening after the Country Fair but is wasn't to be. 
Stay tuned for more details and call the museum to reserve your tickets.
$30 per person.
