A "sourdough" on the Douglas Trail, 1858

The Douglas Trail was constructed in the fall of 1858. This was the first public works project on the mainland. It was initiated by Governor Douglas to ensure food and freight could be transported to the goldfields inland.

Dessert Potluck Tuesday August 03

A potluck is planned for those members unable to attend the Tea.  Bob will talk about his drug store saga again and a bonus will be the founding of the Lion's Club.  Bob was the founding president in 1966 and an invitiation has been extended to the Lions Club members.  If you would like to attend the presentation please call ahead to the museum and indicate what dessert you can bring and the numbers in your party.  The get together will start at 7pm with the presentation starting around 7:30pm.  Please join us - Everyone is welcome.
