A "sourdough" on the Douglas Trail, 1858

The Douglas Trail was constructed in the fall of 1858. This was the first public works project on the mainland. It was initiated by Governor Douglas to ensure food and freight could be transported to the goldfields inland.

Tea and Tales Begins

Join us for tea or coffee and home baked treats from 2-4pm every Tuesday until August 24th.  Admission is $2.  On July 13th Karen Love and Meg Gallup will talk about their art and life in Pemberton.  The "Tales" begin at 3pm down in the Soo Logging Display building.  Join us for Tea and Tales - a unique Pemberton experience at the museum all summer long.
