A "sourdough" on the Douglas Trail, 1858

The Douglas Trail was constructed in the fall of 1858. This was the first public works project on the mainland. It was initiated by Governor Douglas to ensure food and freight could be transported to the goldfields inland.

Lamb BBQ cancelled

The Lamb BBQ scheduled for July 10 has been postponed until the Fall due to concerns that attendance wouldn't be strong in mid-July as many members are away for the summer.  The Lamb BBQ WILL happen in September and we will inform all members as soon as the date is confirmed.  Stay tuned....
