Local Artists at Tea and Tales

Local Artists, Judy Bourhis and Oranye Carrie joined us on July 28th at Tea and Tales to talk about their journey as artists and their experiences in the Pemberton area.  Both Judy and Orayne moved to Pemberton in the 1980's and have continued their work as artists in this area.  Judy does custom glass work out of her shop "Our Glass Works" and works with lead and foil techniques, slumped glass and fused glass.  Orayne paints in many mediums, including oils, and watercolours and was classically trained at the Vancouver Art School in the 1950's as well as in Europe via multiple trips.  Orayne has also created pottery, sculpture and multi-media creations in her career.  Both artists are highly skilled in their artistic endeavours and have brightened the museum Gift Shop with their art for many years.  To view their work visit the museum Gift Shop, open 7 days a week from 10am-5pm.
