Final Tea & Tales a great success
The final Tea & Tales on August 25th was a great
success. We had 55 attendees and earned $141.00.
All proceeds from Tea & Tales goes into a savings account the
society has for a kitchen to be built some time in the
future. This year we earned over $640.00 from the
Teas.
We also had a great line-up of speakers on various topics about
life in Pemberton. Alan McEwan was our final
speaker and he filled us in on hunting and wildlife in the
Pemberton valley. It was an engaging and well
attended presentation.
The Tea and Tales program is supported by a number of volunteers
and we'd like to thank: George Henry for
moderating several of the talks and all of our bakers Helen
West, Val Maheny, Florence Bilenduke, Sarah McLeod, Margaret
McLeod, June Perkins, Judy McNolty, Denize Callaway, Carol
[Starks], Grace Chadsey, Mabel Stillwell, Fran Cuthbert, Heidi Kym,
and Lousie. We couldn't have done it without
you!
See you next year for another line up of Tea & Tales in July
& August 2010.
