A "sourdough" on the Douglas Trail, 1858

The Douglas Trail was constructed in the fall of 1858. This was the first public works project on the mainland. It was initiated by Governor Douglas to ensure food and freight could be transported to the goldfields inland.

Museum Yard Sale Saturday August 01, 2009. 9am-12pm

The museum and it's members are hosting a YARD SALE on Saturday August 01, from 9am - 1pm. This is not your typical Yard Sale as it will include many unique and curious items. All proceeds will go toward construction of the new display/administration building on site. Drop by for a visit and don't miss this special fundraiser.
