The Douglas Trail was constructed in the fall of 1858. This was the first public works project on the mainland. It was initiated by Governor Douglas to ensure food and freight could be transported to the goldfields inland.
Pemberton has a new Tourism website to help people plan their vacations to Pemberton and to display the spectacular nature of this place.
The museum is a partner of Tourism Pemberton and applaud the efforts of the commitee for their efforts in promoting Pemberton and District.
